Established in 1996 under the aegis of the Académie des sciences morales et politiques, the aim of the Franco-Taiwanese Cultural Foundation is to “award two prizes each year to artistic or literary works that highlight relations between Europe and Taiwan and/or contribute to the intensification of cultural relations between Europe and Taiwan”.
Each prize is worth 25,000 euros. Applications may be submitted by any natural or legal person from mainland Europe or Taiwan who meets the Foundation’s objectives.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate that their research work, cultural programs, reports, publications, artistic creations, etc. have been completed or are in progress, and are directly related to Taiwan.
After completing the form below (in French, Chinese or English) and enclosing documents attesting to the work carried out, as well as any references and recommendations, candidates must send the completed file, by May 31, 2025 for entry in the 29th edition of the awards, by post to :

Entries will be examined by the Foundation’s jury, made up of French academics and Taiwanese academics, in Paris or Taipei. The winners, informed by the Académie, will be invited to the Institut de France for a special awards ceremony.
